N Ireland v Wales Ticket News

The FAW have come to a decision on the arrangements for the Wales game against Northern Ireland at Windsor Park in October.

Our maximum entitlement is 1086 tickets, which has to cover fans, players, the FAW council and staff members and 1500 Travel Club members – which will cause a clear problem in terms of supply and demand.

The FAW liaised with FSF CYMRU, who in turn sought views from as many supporters as possible, before announcing that Travel Club members who had attended (via tickets purchased through the FAW) all three matches in
Latvia, Azerbaijan (2004) and Austria will have priority for tickets.

Any remaining tickets will be made available for members who had been to two of the three matches, with priority given to those who had been to
Azerbaijan and Austria.

Arrangements will soon be completed and Application Forms sent to those who qualify.

Mike Bailey of FSF CYMRU said: “This is the first time the FAW have used a Loyalty based system, and they are to be commended for, first, asking for input from supporters; second, for actually adopting our main suggestion; and, third, for letting us know four months before the game, so that travel arrangements can be made.

“This decision will not please everybody, but it is the fairest possible way to allocate the tickets, and I think supporters in turn need to respect and honour the decision, and not make individual ‘special case’ representations to the FAW.”
