Rhayader chairman Phil Woosnam has called a crisis meeting at Rhayader Leisure Centre for tonight.
The Mid Wales Spar League club are in a desperate situation and a poor attendance at their annual meeting started alarm bells ringing.
Woosnam does not believe it is in the best interest of the club to gain promotion to the Cymru Alliance with all the added expense.
"It is the same people showing interest all the time and you get to the stage when you think enough is enough," said Woosnam.
