Llanelli AFC boss Nick Tucker admits he was unsure about his future when he heard the Welsh Premier League club had been taken over.
In their first season back in the top flight the Reds were certain to be headed straight back down into the Welsh League, however, the former Taffs Well boss guided them to safety.
Tucker has since been assured of his future at the club, despite the big changes and can now look ahead to his first training session in preparation for the new season, where he will be aiming to improve on last season.
Tucker told a local paper: "I was apprehensive to start with.
"Like most people in my position, a takeover sheds speculation, but I just had to ride it and wait for things to cool down.
"I have been told I will be manager next season and now I can start preparing things."
Llanelli have brought in a Director of Football, Lucas Cazorla, a former La Liga striker who is believed to be friends with Liverpool boss Rafa Benitez, and Tucker is looking forward to working with the Spanish striker.
"Profile-wise, he is big for Llanelli and brings a lot of experience with him," he said.
"Things will be run differently now and if it is for the better of the club and enhances my knowledge of the game, then that's great."
Llanelli chairman Robert Jones hailed Cazorla's arrival at Stebonheath as a significant day in the history of the club.
"Our short term aim is to sort the side out and hopefully by the end of next season we will be nearing a full-time club," he said.
"Maybe we can get five or six players in full-time for the coming season. We are targeting to finish in the European places.
"With all that has gone on in the last few days, I think this is the best chance Llanelli have had in the last 50 years.
"We hope to develop the stadium - the entire structure of the club is being looked at.
