McKenna: Avoid Complete Humiliation

TNS boss Ken McKenna has reveald he has just one request for his side as they prepare to face European Champions Liverpool at Anfield tomorrow - avoid complete humiliation.

"I am under no illusions. I know exactly how hard this will be for my players," said McKenna.

"But I am a proud person and a professional person and I don't want to be humiliated by anybody."

Liverpool have only had one game to prepare for the qualifying tie - against Wrexham at the Racecourse on Saturday - and McKenna is hoping the Reds suffer from a lack of preparation.

"I just hope they are not quite ready for the game and they end up underestimating us," added the lifelong Everton fan.

"If we play out of our skins, we might just give them a game."

The game - Liverpool's first competitive game as European champions - is a sell-out at Anfield: a 45,000 crowd is certain, while there is the added bonus of live television coverage on ITV2.
