Connah’s Quay Nomads has confirmed that chairman Ron Morris will retire from the role, to be replaced by company secretary John Gray.
The board said Gray, who runs DACS (Electrical) Ltd - the Quay's sponsor - was their number one choice when it became clear veteran Morris would step aside.
"We can confirm our chairman Ron Morris has brought forward his retirement due to recent illness," said a spokesmen.
"Ron will move into the position of president while John Gray will take over as our new chairman. Ron will continue to be a full member of the board and help us in any way he can."
