A trio of Norwegian businessmen are looking to take over at Llanelli, however, have made no assurances that current manager Nick Turner will remain in charge at the club, despite saving them from relegation last season.

The Stebonheath Park outfit were put up for sale last year by Chairman Robert Jones with a £350,000 price tag, later reduced by £50,000 to attract buyers.

It is understood the Norwegian consortium are in preliminary talks with Jones, making it known they want to return Llanelli to a position of being one of the best clubs in Welsh domestic football..

Llanelli's highest finish was fifth under Leighton James in 2000, however, since then they were relegated to the Welsh League before returning to the top-flight last season.

A dreadful game of no points in ten games was dramaticallt turned around following the arrival of Tucker who guided them to safety despite expectations that they would not survive the drop.

Speaking about the takeover Tucker said:

"I know about the takeover, but I'm not concerned about my position."
