Alexander Confident of Survival

Cardiff City goalkeeper Neil Alexander feels the point his side earned at Leicester will see Cardiff to safety in their Championship relegation battle.

"If we continue performing like that for the next three games I think we'll be ok," he said after the 1-1 draw on Tuesday.

"It was a great time for Neal to get the equaliser. It lifted us and will be a massive confidence boost before we welcome Reading on Saturday.

"With a point here and there we should be fine, but if we get one win then we should be able to relax."

Cardiff are currently one point above the relegation zone, and two from eight teams will find themselves in League One next season, joining Rotherham who have already been relegated.

The Scottish keeper is glad to be back in the first team having started the season as third choice at Ninian Park.

Lennie Lawrence has given special praise to Alexander for his contribution in the last two matches, and said that he kept them in the game in a difficult first half at Leicester.
