Newcastle United forwad Craig Bellamy could still remain with deposed Scottish champions Celtic this season, despite several Premiership teams all chasing the 25-year old's signature.
With the arrival of former boss Gordon Strachan as Martin O'Neill's replacement, Bellamy could sign for the Parkhead club as Celtic look to put the disappointment of losing the title in the last 3 minutes of the season.
Bellamy's asking price is around £5-6m, which Celtic are desperate to meet to keep the Cardiff-born Wales international who has been in impressive form since his loan move in February.
Strachan confirmed today that he had spoken to his former Coventry player and that the talks were positive over him staying.
