Cardiff Go Down at Bangor

English Championship side Cardiff City slumped to a shock, disappointing 1-0 defeat to Bangor City at Farrar Road tonight.
A team featuring many club youngsters suffered the agony of conceding an own goal just four minutes into the game as captain Byron Anthony headed in an in-swinging corner from Bangor’s Kevin Scott.
Bangor later had a goal disallowed from Eifion Jones, but held on against a battling Cardiff side as they joined holders Wrexham in the Semi Finals.
After the match, Cardiff manager Lennie Lawrence was angry by his side’s poor showing saying he expected the side he put out to have enough quality to beat Bangor, and their failure to do so questioned whether they should be at Cardiff City Football Club.
The final Quarter Finals are tonight with Caernarfon Town taking on Swansea City and TNS facing Rhyl, both games kicking off at 7pm.
