Cardiff City have called a news conference for 1300 BST tomorrow (Wednesday) where their new manager is expected to be unveiled.

Former Southampton and Wolves boss Dave Jones is the favourite to take over from Lennie Lawrence, who amicably resigned on Monday.

Jones, has also been linked with the Millwall job, but has refused to comment on reports he met Cardiff chairman Sam Hammam last week or what his immediate plans are.

Gary Johnson, who led Yeovil to the League Two title and Colchester United's Phil Parkinson have also been rumoured to be in for the Ninian Park job.

Lawrence, meanwhile,
is staying with the Bluebirds in a consultancy role at the club for at least six months, while his former assistant Terry Burton is expected to keep his role.
