Swansea City have revealed they have agreed contract extensions with six players and are close to signing long-term target Marc Goodfellow from Bristol City.
Kevin Austin, Kristian O'Leary, Izzy Iriekpen, Leon Britton, Brian Murphy and player-assistant manager Kevin Nugent have all agreed new deals.
Goodfellow will undergo a medical today before signing with Swansea who are understood to be taking over the one year left on the 23-year old's Robins contract, with a further 12 months based on appearances.
However, Kenny Jackett'a bid to sign Andy Burgess from Rushden may have hit a snag despite Swansea agreeing a fee of £90,000 with the League Two side with the club so far failing to agree terms with the 23-year old midfielder.
