Dickens: Wrexham Deal on Horizon

Wrexham businessman Neville Dickens has revealed he is hopeful that his aim of buying Wrexham FC from owner Alex Hamilton could soon become a reality.

"Hamilton has shown an interest and a willingness to deal with me and we're getting very close," Dickens said.

"I'm sure we'll have a deal towards the middle of next week."

Hamilton has so far rejected several bids for the north Wales club, including one from Dickens, leaving fans and staff at the club as uncertain about their future as they were more than six months ago, however, with boss Denis Smith putting a side together to get them out of League Two at the first attempt, and news that Wrexham will remain at the Racecourse Ground this season, things are slowly looking up for the Dragons fans.
