Premiership survivors West Bromwich Albion have offered £2m plus Wales striker Robert Earnshaw for Crystal Palace striker Andy Johnson reports a number of sources.

Palace chairman Simon Jordan last week made it bluntly clear on Sky Sports that he would not sell his best player, but with Johnson called up to the England squad for games in the USA this month, and ending this season as the 2nd most prolific striker in the Premiership, the 24-year would relish a move back to a Premiership club.

Birmingham
City
chairman David Gold admitted earlier this week that he too would like to bring Johnson back to the Premiership.

Johnson, however, has maintained that he will stay with Palace, despite the club being relegated from the Premiership.

Earnshaw, who has had a great season with West Brom following his move from Cardiff City in August and the Wales striker would be disappointed with a move back to the Championship.

Earnshaw has more often than not started on the bench this season, and could look for a move elsewhere in the Premiership, but not to the Championship.
