Everton have agreed to sign Wales international midfielder Simon Davies from Spurs in a deal worth up to £4m.

Everton chief executive Keith Wyness told the club's website, "We have been in discussions with Spurs and have now reached agreement on a fee.

"But we still have to agree personal terms for the player."

Davies has been at the north London club since April 2000 in a spell that has been injury plagued with the winger making just 154 appearances.
