Blackburn Rovers will come to Swansea side to Wales next month in a as part of the opening of the League One club's new stadium.

Former Wales boss Mark Hughes has agreed to play Kenny Jackett's side in one of two friendlies to unveil the new stadium at Morfa to the world.

Chris Coleman's Fulham will also be heading to Swansea on July 23 to play in the 20,000 seater stadium, with Blackburn's visit 7 days later.

Swansea director David Morgan said: "We're delighted that we've been able to attract these two Premiership sides with such good Welsh connections to help mark the opening of the new stadium.

"One week we'll have the return of a former Wales and Swansea player and the next the return of a former Wales manager.

"We're looking forward to what should be two exciting pre-season matches for us."

Both matches could attract sell-out crowds, however, the Fulham game - being the first to be staged at the yet to be named stadium - will be limited to a 15,000 capacity.

All going well, the Blackburn game, could be set to see 20,000 fans inside it for the first time.
