Swansea City's promotion hopes were boosted as Lee Trundle again came to the Swans rescue to scored twice in the victory over 2nd place Scunthorpe.
In an early kick off in south Wales Trundle broke the deadlock with a header from corner after 25 minutes.
However, Scunthorpe equalised within 10 minutes when Andy Butler scored from close range to make the half time score 2-1.
Stevland Angus felled Lee Thorpe in the box on 58 minutes to concede a penalty to Swansea and Angus was dismissed for his troubles.
Trundle then notched his second goal of the game from the penalty spot on the hour which set Swansea up for a much needed easy victory as they look to get their promotion charge back on track.
