Swansea City target Grant Holt has signed a new deal with Rochdale, ended speculation regarding his future.

Holt had been one of
Swansea's primary transfer targets since February, however despite a series of bids by the south Wales club, Rochdale
refused to let their biggest asset leave the club.

Kenny Jackett must now find a new attacking target after failing to land Holt and ending interest in Torquay's Akinfenwa who would attract a fee becasuse of his age.

Holt told Rochdale's official website: "I'm very pleased to have signed a new deal
...its nice to be settled and know what is going on next year. I've seen the reports regarding moving clubs...but its fair play to Rochdale
. They didn't want to sell me and I'm happy to sign and stay here for the next two years".

Swansea have been linked with several players in the close season and Rushden's Andy Burgess is set to sign within the next 24 hours according to chairman Huw Jenkins.

Swansea are also believed to have had a £60,000 bid for Fulham midfielder Darren Pratley rejected, while Kenny Jackett is believed to be interested in Wrexham's highly rated U-21 defender Craig Morgan who is out-of-contract, however Morgan, will attract a fee due to his age.
