Jerome Thomas Happy With Midweek Brace

Cardiff City striker Cameron Jerome proved his critics wrong with a fantastic two-goal haul against Stoke in midweek.

"It was a long time coming," said the youngster, after doubts had been raised on his finishing by several journalists, with some calling for him to go to a finishing school for help.

Cardiff boss Lennie Lawrence has stood by the youngster despite the club being in a relegation battle of sorts and insisted he was right to do so.

"The pressure of the situation doesn't get to young players and they have a certain freedom, they can be your salvation," said Lawrence.
