Nineteen Leeds United supporters have admitted being involved in a disturbance after their game with Cardiff City in January.

Police struggled to keep some 200 Leeds fans from attacking Cardiff supporters as they left Elland Road lasting around 30 minutes as missiles were thrown injuring two police officers.

The district judge at Leeds Mgistrates' Court said it was an "ugly incident" and sent the case to the Crown Court as the men all admitted affray or other public order offences.

The nineteen men will appear in early August before the crown court which can impose more severe sentences than a district judge.
