Cardiff City midfielder Jobi McAnuff has apparantly agreed to join Crystal Palace according to Sam Hammam.
McAnuff, 23, still has one year left on his contract with the Ninian Park club and had earlier this monnth pledged to remain in south Wales, but Bluebirds owner Hammam revealed that the two clubs have agreed a fee of around £600,000 for McAnuff, who will have a medical at Palace today.
McAnuff joined Cardiff in August from West Ham, scoring just three goals in his first season with the club.
Hammam said: "I'm very sorry indeed to see him go.
"I've known him since he was 10 years old when he was at Wimbledon. I know his family and I've been to their home.
"He's one hell of a player and it is a major loss.
"But as I've explained before, we're going to have to create a pool of money to give Dave Jones.
"Quite a few of our players are on high wages and we have to get them out before we can get people in."
It is expected that much of the money from the McAnuff deal will be used to pay the remaining transfer fee owed to West Ham following their deal last year, while it is expected other high profile names could also leave the club over the summer.
