More Confusion at Wrexham

Property developer Andy Smith’s late bid for control of Wrexham has thrown manager Denis Smith's pre-season plans into confusion.

The Dragons boss has worked flat out in recent weeks to try ang get out-of-contract players, including Basque-hitman Juan Ugarte, to sign new deals offered to them.

All contract offers have been made with the support of prospective buyers Neville Dickens and Geoff Moss.

However, with shifty owner Alex Hamilton now in a lock-out agreement with a rival bid put forward by Andy Smith, Surrey-based businessman has three weeks to come up with a deal to buy the club.

The club have revealed that unless Smith spells out his plans for the club, the new deals that have been offered are now in doubt.

The future is now even more uncertain for Wrexham's players, with many still not having commited to he club for the new season.

The announcement by Andy Smith on Tuesday night has angered many Wrexham fans who contacted Smith to air their views on his hijack deal.
