Wrexham assistant manager Kevin Russell has revealed that talks are ongoing with two potential new signings, further to talk of new signings by Denis Smith last week.
Smith is currently on holiday, leaving Russell to run the show in north Wales, however, is expecting to hear from the duo - one of whom played in the Championship last season.
Wrexham are also believed to be very much interested in Bangor-born Matthew Tipton who was released by Macclesfield according to his agent.
A former Wales U21 player Tipton scored 14 goals last season as his side pushed for promotion from League Two.
His agent Wayne Elsey said: 'Darlington, Mansfield, Wrexham, Swansea and Cheltenham have expressed an interest.
'They all wanted to be contacted once Matthew had spoken to Macclesfield, so I will be speaking to those clubs in due course.'
