Spender to Stay at Wrexham

More good news for Wrexham on the player front this week as defender Simon Spender signs his first professional contract with the north Wales club.

Spender, 19, appeared 19 times in all competitions for the Dragons last season and is the second of Denis Smith's youngsters to sign their first pro-contract, follwoing Levi Mackin who ha already agreed to stay at the troubled club.

Mark Jones and Matt Crowell are also believed to be on the verge of signing new deals while Smith could unveil some more new faces at the club in the coming weeks.
