Still No Season Tickets for Dragons Fans

Wrexham fans have been asked to be even more patient over the arrangement of season tickets for the forthcoming season.

Supporters of the troubled north Wales club have not been able to renew or buy them yet with the Football League waiting on the assurance they can fulfill their fixtures and other legal problems to overcome.

With Wrexham's administrators, Begbies Traynor, confirming the club would not be evicted from its Racecourse Ground home next month, they have begun discussions with the League over plans for the 2005/06 campaign, with the League already allowing the Dragons' boss Denis Smith to assemble a sqaud of 20 professional players.

The further delay in the sale of season tickets, is a problem for the club, however, they are confident the issues will be resolved shortly and the sales can begin.

A message on the club's official website said: 'As with everything else that has happened to us during the last year or so, our current problems means there will be a delay in not only distributing season ticket information but also supplying news about admission prices for next season.

'Following their recent statement about the club's position, the administrators are working hard on budgets for next year to allow the manager to try and bring a squad together for the new season.

'The question of season tickets has been raised, but brings with it a few legal stumbling blocks that need to be cleared before we can put them on sale.

'The administrators had a meeting with the Football League on Wednesday to iron out a number of details. Hopefully, we will shortly be able to make an announcement.

'We ask for patience in the meantime, but assure supporters that we are addressing this issue and look forward to inviting season ticket applications in the not-too-distant future.'

Cardiff have already sold over 5,200 season tickets so far for the forthcoming season, while sales at Swansea are also on the up as they move to the 'White Rock' stadium in Morfa.
