Swansea City manager Kenny Jackett is already making plans to improve his squad for League One football by making Cheltenham Town's Martin Devaney his first transfer target of the summer.

After Devaney rejected a new contract at Whaddon Road, the 24-year old winger is available on a free transfer in July.

Speaking to a local paper Jackett said: "I've spoken to John Ward and he's given me permission to talk to Martin Devaney.

"I'll be meeting him inside the next week."

Jackett will also attempt to sign three players he tried for earlier in the season in Grant Holt, Andy Burgess and Marc Goodfellow.

Holt scored 27 times for Rochdale this season in all competitions and would be a welcome addition to the Swansea attack.

Swansea players out of the door this summer include youngsters Stuart Jones and Antonio Corbisiero who have no future at the club, while out-of-contract players Kevin Austin, Leon Britton, Izzy Iriekpen, Kristian O'Leary, Brian Murphy and James Thomas will have their futures’ decided on after Wednesday's FAW Premier Cup final with Wrexham in the last ever game at the Vetch Field.
