Former Wrexham Director Bill Wingrove has been eliminated from inquiries by North Wales police over allegations of missing gate receipts from Wrexham's game with
Wingrove, who is now Chief Executive at League Two outfit
"As I have always maintained I had nothing to hide and was able to help police in any way they wanted.
"I have never been charged with anything and now I have a letter from the police saying that no further action is to be taken.
"It just highlights what I said earlier this year that as far as I am concerned there is nothing untoward."
Mr Wingrove, who makes out that he is owed around £4000 from using his own money for the club has said he will be seeking the return of that with the administrators and "will donate it to Wrexham supporters for their use."
North Wales Police confirmed "A 60-year old man questioned in connection with allegations of theft has no been released from police bail. The investigation continues and inquiries continue."
