Teams Await Carling Cup 1st Round Draw

The draw for the first round of the Carling Cup will be made on Tuesday June 28 at 0700 BST.
The 72 Football League teams will be split into northern and southern sections.
All clubs finishing 12th or higher in League One last season are seeded and will play against an unseeded team in round one, on August 23 or 24 .
The 12 Premiership teams not competing in Europe join the competition in round two, with the European participants entering at the third round stage.
The final in February will again take place at the Millennium Stadium in Cardiff.
Northern Section -
Seeded clubs: Bradford, Burnley, Crewe, Derby, Doncaster, Hartlepool, Huddersfield, Hull, Leeds, Leicester, Nottingham Forest, Preston, Rotherham, Sheffield United, Sheffield Wednesday, Stoke, Tranmere, Wolves.
Unseeded clubs: Barnsley, Blackpool, Boston, Bury, Carlisle, Chester, Chesterfield, Darlington, Grimsby, Lincoln, Macclesfield, Mansfield, Oldham, Port Vale, Rochdale, Scunthorpe, Stockport, WREXHAM.
Southern Section -
Seeded clubs:
Bournemouth, Brentford, Brighton, Bristol City, CARDIFF CITY, Coventry, Crystal Palace, Gillingham, Ipswich, Luton, Millwall, Norwich, Plymouth, Queens Park Rangers, Reading, Southampton, Swindon, Watford. Unseeded clubs: Barnet, Bristol Rovers, Cheltenham, Colchester, Leyton Orient, Milton Keynes Dons, Northampton, Notts County, Oxford, Peterborough, Rushden & Diamonds, Shrewsbury, Southend, SWANSEA, Torquay, Walsall, Wycombe, Yeovil.
