A plucky performance but Wales beaten by Germany

A stone wall penalty, that was waved away after a hand ball in the German box, ultimately cost Wales a chance of getting something from this game.

The Germans were in front after a stunning strike from Michael Ballack but when Joe Ledley was felled in the box the replay's showed a clean hand ball by the German defender. It wasn't given and Wales, playig with far more passion and creativity than Saturday, went onto to lose by another 2 - 0 margin.

The second German goal was a fluke for the visitors when Ashley Williams toe poked into his own net.

With Russia winning as well any pipe dreams that we can still qualify have been put to bed. The mathematical possibilities are there but we are falling way too short with four defeats in our 6 games so far.
