Bellamy Out for Three Weeks

Last updated : 26 April 2005 By Gary Fish

Celtic striker Craig Bellamy has been ruled out for a possible three weeks today with news that a scan revealed a "slight strain to the left hamstring" suffered in Sunday's 2-0 over Rangers.

Subsequently, Bellamy will miss at least two of Celtic's final four league games of the season, ruling him out against the home games against Hibernian and Aberdeen.

Since arriving in Glasgow at the beginning of 2005 Bellamy has been a major figure in Celtic's title campaign scoring crucial goals amounting to a record that is impressive for any striker.

The pacey Welsh striker will be sorely missed by Celtic, however the teams he will not play against will be somewhat relieved as he continues to terrorise the SPL in a way not seen since the days of Larsson at Celtic.

Celtic are five points clear at the top of the SPL with four games to go following their win over second placed team Rangers at the weekend.
