Bellamy's Double Vision

Celtic on-loan striker Craig Bellamy says he is focusing on winning the double in Scotland and any thoughts about where he will play in the future will be cast aside until the season is over.

Several teams in the Premiership in England see Bellamy as an ideal signing, including Blackburn Rovers, Aston Villa and Birmingham, while Celtic would also like to sign the player permanently should they be able to meet Newcastle’s asking price for him.

Speaking to the media the Welsh striker said: "I want to win these trophies and I'll wait until I go on holiday before seeing what's happening," he said.

"I haven't thought about anything else and I don't want to.

"That's not the way I work and I could do without that little sidetrack.

"I have spoken to my agent but he won't dare say a word to me because he knows the phone call will last a few seconds.

"I came up here to enjoy my football and winning the two trophies are the only thing on my mind."

Bellamy has been in great form for Celtic and has helped the Scottish champions get back to the top of the SPL and would be happy to stay at the Glasgow club.

"Everyone wants to be in the Champions League and that's what I want to be involved in," he added.

"The money is not important. I am very fortunate to be in this game.

"I have had a lot of injuries from a young age and if you would have told me at 14 or 15 that I would be doing what I am now I would have said no chance.

"Everything is a bonus and as long as I'm happy that's the main thing.

"If the Celtic fans or the football club weren't happy with me it would be a harder place to hang around.

"I am enjoying my football and my life in Scotland and it has been a really brilliant experience.

"I've enjoyed the little things like travelling with this group to places like Livingston or Inverness on a Tuesday. People thought I wouldn't like it and I never thought I'd be saying this."

Bellamy has scored eight times in all competitions heading into Sunday’s Old Firm game at Ibrox, in a game that could possibly decide which side of Glasgow will win the title.
