Craig Bellamy could make his SPL comeback against Hearts on Sunday after a hamstring strain which has kept the Welshman out since helping his side to a 2-1 victory over Old Firm rivals Rangers on April 24.
Martin O’Neill said: "Bellamy is coming on very well indeed and our hope is that he'll be back in full training with the lads later this week.
"Then it will just be a case of seeing how he goes, although we're hopeful that he'll at least be in contention."
Bellamy has been immense for Celtic since joining on loan from Newcastle earlier in the year, scoring vital goals and providing many opportunities for team mate John Hartson who is the leading goalscorer in the SPL this season.
