Collins looking forward to marking Koller

6' 8 giant Jan Koller will line up to face Wales in Teplice tomorrow and will look to add to the 43 international goals he has scored in just 69 matches. He will come up against our own Ginger Monster, James Collins

"Sure he's a massive player for them. You saw when he got injured during the World Cup the Czechs were never the same, so he's very important for them," said 23-year-old Collins.

"It's going to be tough competing with a guy like that, but this is international football. You know whoever you come up against isn't going to be easy.

"As a player you want to test yourself against the best and Koller is one of those. He's one of the best and he's certainly the biggest.

"He's proved himself as a great player at international level, but you don't go out to play a game worrying about the reputation of the opposition's players.

"I'll be concentrating on my own game and I'll look forward to the challenge of playing against him."

Collins taking a postive stance ahead of the game and the Euro 2008 qualifiers.

"We all know about the disappointments we've had in the past, but there's a real feeling within the squad we can qualify for Euro 2008.

"We come away on every trip, on every campaign, believing we can qualify.

"We know it's not going to be easy, but we've got a great squad here at the moment: a mixture of young lads and experienced pros.

"If we can play like we know we can, everyone's confident we can qualify from this group.

"I don't know if going to play the Czechs away first is an advantage or disadvantage for us really.

"In the end you've to play everybody, it's a long campaign and it's going to be tough.

"But I'm really looking forward to the match. I always enjoy coming away with Wales and testing myself against international teams.

"Qualification for these big tournaments is very much like starting in the leagues, the Championship and the Premiership, it's vital to get off to a good start. You're going to struggle if you don't.

"I think the way we played against Bulgaria has given us a lot of confidence. We played well, we knocked it around all over the park. With Earnie and Bellers up front you can't really just knock it up there and let them get on with it.

"So we knocked it around and played well. We're training on a similar pattern of play: keeping the ball down and passing it around.

"The team's not finding it hard to adapt to that style, I think you can see that by the way we've played in the last couple of matches.

"Everyone's comfortable on the ball and we're training hard on keeping it on the floor.

"Hopefully, we can go over to the Czech Republic, play our way and that will be enough to get a good result.

"We're going over there with the aim of winning, that's what we want. But going away anywhere in international football is always going to be difficult, but as long as we can put a good performance in, I'm sure the result will take care of itself."
