Manchester United fans who want their FA Cup Semi Final moved from Cardiff to Leeds have been told there is no chance the tie will moved away from the Millennium Stadium.

IMUSA have urged fans to boycott the game if it goes ahead in Cardiff next month, with accusations by fans that the FA is simply trying to cash in with the Wales national stadium holding 72,500 with the Premiership ground available to them holding considerably less..

An FA spokesman said: "We announced that Cardiff would host both semi-finals back in September."

"It will allow about 30,000 fans from each club to attend the games."

"A decision regarding which games will be played on which days, and at what particular time will be made later this week after Newcastle's Uefa Cup tie," said Bevington.

"Our first priority in that decision will be the safety and security of supporters as well as their travelling plans."

A final announcement as to dates is due following Newcastle’s Uefa Cup game with Olympiaocs as Newcastle could face a Uefa Cup Quarter Final tie on the Thursday. Should that happen, Newcastle’s game with Man Utd would take place on the Sunday.

Jules Spencer, Chairman for the IMUSA, has re-iterated the belief that the game should be at Elland Road, but will not tell fans to boycott the game.

Spencer said: "We all have to make a personal choice, as members of our organisation have done, between the desire to support the team and the hassle, cost and inconvenience the FA are forcing us into by travelling to Cardiff.

"We are re-iterating our belief that the game should be switched to Elland Road and we will be doing everything in our power to make this happen."
