Delaney. Wales future in doubt?

JOHN TOSHACK fears Mark Delaney's Wales future is over.

The injury-prone Aston Villa right-back, right, has suffered consistent knee troubles and Delaney has just returned from the United States following surgery in a desperate bid to save his career.

World-renowned surgeon Dr Richard Steadman performed an operation on the 30-year-old to tighten his ligament in the hope it would cure a problem which has wrecked his last 12 months.

Delaney has played just once in almost a year and the 35-times capped defender, who is out of contract at Villa Park this summer, will not play again this season as he recuperates from surgery.
