Sir Alex Ferguson has said that Arsenal are to blame for the FA's decision last year to announce the Semi-Finals would be held at the same venue as the final - Cardiff's Millennium Stadium.
As a result, supporters of Manchester United and Newcastle face a gruelling trip to the Millennium Stadium for their semi-final on Sunday.
"It's a terrible burden on the fans, particularly the Newcastle fans," Ferguson said.
"Apparently it was Arsenal who forced this through. I think they wanted it in Cardiff last season."
Arsenal have also spoken out against the decision, with Arsenal captain Patrick Vieira having his say on the semi-finals believing "you lose a bit of passion" in the final.
"It makes the final not so special so I'm not in favour of it. The big pitch may suit our style but I think it's a shame when you play both games there."
The FA were keen to take advantage of the capacity at the stadium, which is 72,500 for football matches.
Arsenal face Blackburn in the first semi final on 16 April with Manchester United playing Newcastle a day later.
