Giggs Makes the Man Utd Squad Afterall

Sir Alex Ferguson went back on what he said just two days ago and included Wales captain Ryan Giggs in his squad to face Newcastle United at the Millennium Stadium today.

Despite a hamstring injury which has seen the winger since United's game with Blackburn Rovers, the Cardiff-born player returned to training at the end of this week, and after coming through unscathed was on the bench at the Millennium Stadium as Manchester United look to keep up their hopes of winning a trophy this season.

Giggs, sporting a pair of dark coloured tights, took to the field after 76 minutes replacing Christiano Ronaldo to get a late run out.

With the game easily won for Manchester United, there was little for Giggs to do down the left flank, but help run the clock down.
