"I'm pleased to see him back. It's the right appointment for Wales," Keegan said.
"He has got a lot to offer football, he's a very, very bright man. Tactically at international level it won't faze him at all.
"I have read little bits about some of the players being down on him because he said some cutting things but I think with John Toshack what you see is what you get.
"If he thinks he has done well he will give you a pat on the back and say you've done well, and if he doesn't you will know about it and I think people shouldn't hold that against him."
