But will he start? With Ryan Giggs injured there's a chance he could get a place in the XI that kick off the first home Euro 2008 qualifier.
He faces competition though from Cardiff team mate Paul Parry, Jason Koumas and David Vaughan.
"I'm not sure whether I'll be starting. Nothing's been said yet so I'll just have to wait and see what happens," said Ledley.
"But me and Paul Parry are coming into the Wales setup with great confidence at the moment because of how well things are going at Cardiff.
"It would obviously be fantastic if I started Saturday's match and was able to perform to the same level as I have been with City. It would be brilliant to play at the Millennium Stadium for my country in such an important match.
"My family would be very proud. Every family would be proud to see one of their sons out there playing for Wales. But I'm trying not to think too much at the moment because there are a lot of candidates to come in and fill Ryan's boots.
"As well as myself, there's Jason Koumas, Paul Parry, David Vaughan and others. Anyone could play. I've just got to keep working hard and hopefully the chance will come."
