Legg Receives Welcome Boost

Former Peterborough and Wales defender Andy Legg has received some good news following surgery to remove a cancerous growth from his neck.

Scans show the cancer has not spread to other parts of his body and he will undergo a course of radiography for six weeks.

Peterborough owner Barry Fry said: "This is marvellous news, everyone is very positive."

The 38-year old was forced to retire from the game last month brining a sad end to 17 years as a professional footballer appearing in 576 league games for seven different clubs, scoring 61 goals, earning six Wales caps.

We wish Andy all the best as he battles to overcome the disease.
