Luxembourg 0 - 2 Wales

It was a cold night, a poor game in a ground that was about 1/4 full but most importantly it was a Welsh win.

Like most trips away the football is secondary to having a good time but to get the victory, however poor the opposition, made it a good few days away.

Freddy Eastwood scored both goals, the first an individual effort followed by a neat sidefooted finish from a Simon Davies cross.

Boss John Toshack was satisfied with the victory

"It wasn't the best game I've seen I must admit and we certainly had a few players who were short of fitness," he said.

"But at the end of the day, we've got a win. It keeps a bit of momentum going and we've seen a couple of new faces.

"Luxembourg were short of technique, but they worked really hard."
