Margetson Joins Wales Squad in Spain

Cardiff City keeper Martyn Margetson has joined Wales' San Sebastian training camp after a late withdrawal by Wolves' Paul Jones.

Wales boss John Toshack sent for the 33-year-old Cardiff as Jones' withdrawal left the former Swansea City manager with no experienced goalkeeper in his squad.

Margetson told the Echo: "This feels like a good reward for all the hard work after hardly playing for a season with injury."

While some international teams are playing pointless friendlies during the close season, John Toshack has opted for a training camp in San Sebastian, Spain from May 17 until May 23.
