The 33-year-old midfielder has questioned whether to continue on the international arena following Wales' poor results so far in the 2006 World Cup qualifiers.

"After the World Cup qualifiers against Poland and England I have got to sit down and think about where that part of my career is heading," Pembridge told BBC Sport.

"It will be difficult for us to qualify and maybe it's time to think about retiring from that side of it."

Two other Wales internationals, Gary Speed and Andy Melville have already announced their intentions to quit playing for their country.
