Rickets Out of Wales Training Camp Squad

Swansea defender Sam Ricketts has withdrawn from John Toshack’s squad for a training camp in San Sebastian, Spain, from 17-23 May.

The full-back will instead take six weeks off to try and cure a hernia problem which has been hampering the 23-year old for several months now.

Kenny Jackett said: "That will take him to within a week of pre-season training. He won't go to Spain.”

Ricketts withdrawal Toshack now has 11 probable squad members missing from the trip including captain Ryan Giggs who is involved in the FA Cup final, while a number of players are involved in play-offs, the Scottish championship or have injuries.
