Sunderland midfielder Carl Robinson has pledged his long-term future to the Championship winners after praising manager Mick McCarthy.
The 28-year-old Wales international has been pivotal in the engine room for the north-east club this season after initially joining on loan from Portsmouth in March last year.
Robinson has no desire to leave The Stadium of Light and has hailed the work of Black Cats boss McCarthy.
"I feel I'd like to stay here for ever now," said Robinson.
"I have had a few managers in my time and Mick is the best I have worked with, there are no ifs and buts about it.
"Whatever walk of life you're in you just want your boss to be honest and that's exactly the way he is.
"The way he has tried to give the players the credit since we won promotion might be typical of him.
"But if you ask any of the players they will tell you that it is Mick the credit should go to and his assistant Taff Evans and all the staff too."
Robinson is also inline to become an important part of future Wales squads under John Toshack following the retirements of Gary Speed and Robbie Savage.
