Former Wales intrnational Ian Rush has missed out on the Peterborough United job as the Posh unveiled Mark Wright as their new manager.
Rush was the man who replaced Mark Wright at Chester after he left to take time out from football after a poor start to the 2004/05 season.
In a successful spell in charge of Chester, Rush steered the Cheshire side away from relegation, however, conflicts between his management team and the chairman, who tried to pay off Rush and assistant Mark Aizlewood, culminating in the sacking of Aizlewood was the last straw for Rush who quit as manager earlier this year.
Rush, however, is desperate to get back into football management and will be disappointed to miss out on the Peterborough job.
