Taylor to have Surgery

Nottingham Forest striker Gareth Taylor is to undergo minor knee surgery this week.

The Wales international, 22, was hampered by the problem in the last few months of the season but was able to play through until the end of the campaign, although Forest were still relegated to League One.

Taylor told the club website: "It was touch and go whether I needed surgery but I didn't want to run the risk of feeling it at pre-season.

"I'll be running within 10 days of the operation and will be working hard over the summer to get myself fit."
