Tosh Backs Everton for Fourth Place

Former Real Madrid coach Tosh, a hero on the Kop during his Anfield playing days, believes The Toffees have the edge in the race for the much sought after fourth place in the Premiership.

With Liverpool losing to Crystal Palace yesterday and Everton salvaging a draw at Birmingham City, Moyes’ men strengthened their position, seeing them four points clear of their neighbours with a game in hand.

Toshack moaned: “Liverpool will miss out next season because, unfortunately, I think Everton will pip them to the fourth qualification spot.

“I don’t say that with a smile on my face because if you look at the type of football they and Bolton are playing it is frightening.”
