Toshack earns 2 year contract extension

Tosh has been in charge since replacing Mark Hughes in 2004 and was contracted up until 2010 but the FAW have given him a new deal to take Wales through to 2012 qualifying campaign.

"The Football Association of Wales is delighted to announce that Mr John Toshack, national team coach has accepted a two-year extension to his contract," read a statement on the governing body's official website.

"Mr Toshack will continue his excellent work with the Wales senior international team until the end of the Euro 2012 campaign."

Toshack's side face Poland next week in a friendly in Portugal before a World Cup qualifying double header in Cardiff against Finland and Germany on March 28th and April 1st respectively.
