Only 25,000 turned up to see Wales face one of the top sides in the World. The match turned out to be little more than a training exercise for the visitors who won through two Miroslav Klose goals but in reality Germany never had to move into second gear.
Wales started with Freddy Eastwood as the lone striker after Craig Bellamy pulled out because his daughter was taken ill. Joe Ledley came into the team.
Jens Lehmann in the German goal could have brought a book to read such was his non involvement.
