Wales 1 - 3 Russia

James Collin's goal the only thing to cheer, that made the game 1 - 1 and Wales missed a golden oportunity to go in front but it wasn't to be and the Russians went on to win by a comfortable margin.

Wales started the game with Craig Bellamy the loan striker and at times he dropped so deep for the ball our formation was 5 - 5 - 0. The home side with nothing to lose by going for it and we could'nt manage to get players in the box at times.

Another campaign coming to a close with Wales no nearer qualifying for anything.

All that can be taken from this group now is two away wins. If we can go to Finland and Lichtenstein with a positive attitude and take maximum points we could finish 3rd in the group and be in line for a better seeding for the Euro 10 draw.

The manager is going to need a postive approach though and play a 2nd striker, Vokes or Ched Evans maybe to give Bellamy some support and to give us a presence in the box.

An enjoyable game for a change but a familiar outccome.
